Consignor Expectations:

At Adventurous Threads, we're all about fostering a sense of community. We aim to build strong relationships with both our consignors and customers. By collaborating, we can ensure that outdoor gear gets a second life and benefits our environment. We kindly ask that you treat us and others with the same respect that you'd expect.

Gear Expectations:

We only accept items that are in good condition, clean, and fully functional. We reserve the right to decline items based on factors such as brand, condition, and seasonal relevance. If an item that was initially accepted fails to meet our standards, we'll notify you, and it's important to respond promptly. Otherwise, unclaimed items will become property of Adventurous Threads or be donated.

Pricing:

The sale prices are determined by our team, taking into account factors like industry knowledge, item condition, local demand, and more. Please note that if new information emerges affecting the fair market value of an item, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.

Time Limit & Discounts:

We follow a two-season model – winter and summer. If an item remains unsold for 60 days, we may review its price and potentially lower it by up to 25%. At the end of each season, we hold seasonal sales, and any unsold items should be retrieved within 7 days of the sale's conclusion. Failure to do so might result in the items becoming our property or being donated.

Consignment terms last for a minimum of 60 days. During this period, we kindly request that you refrain from listing the consigned items on other platforms or marketplaces.

Payout:

Upon the sale of an item, the earnings are credited to your consignment account, accessible through the online portal. Store credit is immediately available upon sale.

We'll notify you via email about the sale, and it's your responsibility to request a payout. Payouts can be collected in person or, for a $2 handling fee, can be processed via PayPal.

You're welcome to leave your earnings in your account for up to one year from your most recent purchase or sale. If there's no account activity within this time, we'll attempt to contact you using the contact details in your consignor account. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, any remaining balance may become property of Adventurous Threads or be donated.

Liability:

We take great care of consigned items. In cases of damage, loss due to theft, fire, water, or other unforeseen events, our liability is limited to the item's most recent list price minus our commission. The payout for damaged or lost items will be added to your consignor account, giving you the option to withdraw or use it as in-store credit.

By accepting this payout or reimbursement, you release Adventurous Threads from further claims.

Updating Contact Information:

Please ensure that your contact information is up to date in the online portal. Alternatively, promptly reach out to us with any updated contact or address details.
